The 20th anniversary of Grouchy Haven is in the books, had over 150 visitors for a weeknight. Below are some new items from this year. Want to thank my next door neighbor for allowing me to use 1/2 his yard, Abe, Gregory & Martin for the photos and videos. Scroll towards bottom to night of photos and video.
Perron Halloween Productions copyright 2004-2024
Found a damaged Lowes Reaper drummer that I was able to fix and will be paired with my Punk Rocker guitar player.
Three Ultra Poseable skeletons from Home Depot to replace some old damaged skeletons
7 foot skeleton dog to go with my 12 foot skeleton I purchased last year.
Found an old 2018 remote control roaming spider that is about little over 2 feet in size.
Painted the teeth and paws on Skelly Dog
Added 2 axis random head turning kit from Napier Family Lights to 12 foot Skelly.
Acquired some more Grouchy Haven family members: Grim from Spirit Halloween, Motorcycle Reaper (2017) from Home Deport and Groundbreaker from Costco.
The head is one blow molded piece so used a blade cut the middle seam to get access to the inside.
Cut out two 1 and 1/8" circles out of paper.
Used spray adhesive to stick the circles onto the skull.
Used a heat gun to soften up the plastic a little to make it easier to cut out the holes.
Installed the LED eye and used heavy duty duck tape to hold in place. Also used black adhesive caulk for perminate hold.
Drilled a hold as base of neck to route the cable through to the battery.
Added music circuit to Home Depot Zero
Used the music circuit out of a plush zero that I picked up from Ebay for $10.
The Home Depot Zero uses 6vdc and the music circuit uses 3vdc. Used a 3vdc regulator to drop the voltage down.
Housing for the zero already had a place to put a speaker which I hot glued in place. Sliced the try me wiring of the music board into the try me port of the zero.
Used a step plate to activate the music. Similar type of step plate I made for all my other animated props.
